Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Gresham Fire personnel responded around 11:25 a.m. to reports of a child in the lake. The Oregonian/OregonLiveA 5-year-old girl died from drowning at Fairview Lake, authorities said Tuesday. Deputies and fire personnel found the girl unresponsive when they arrived, said Deputy John Plock, a sheriff’s office spokesperson. The sheriff’s office is investigating the girl’s death. As of now, Plock said it believes her drowning was a “tragic accident with no signs of foul play or criminal factors.”
