Nagpur: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) will launch a beautification drive at 50 locations across the city where garbage accumulation is most frequent. Once cleaned and sealed, these areas are expected to contribute significantly to the city’s overall beautification. Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, NMC has identified 50 garbage hotspots across the city’s 10 zones — five in each zone. After beautification, staff will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring that no garbage is dumped again at these spots. The IEC team will also conduct awareness campaigns in nearby areas to educate residents about cleanliness and discourage them from dumping waste in these locations.
