Two recent studies raise serious concerns about a range of contaminants in treated sewage sludge. They utilized combinations of keywords including contaminants of emerging concern, biosolids, sewage sludge, soil, wastewater, pharmaceuticals, hormones, bisphenols, phthalates, parabens, neonicotinoids, etc.).
