Yobe State House of Assembly has called on the executive arm of government to take proactive measures to control the incessant road traffic accidents in Ngelzarma, Damagum and Dogon Kuka towns along Damaturu – Potiskum highway. The House made the call while receiving a motion of urgent public importance presented by the member representing Damagum Constituency, Hon. Supporting the motion, the majority leader of the House, Hon. Adamu Dala Dogo stressed the need for the Federal Road Safety Corps and the Yobe State Road Traffic Management Agency, (YOROTA), to sensitize motorists to avoid overspeeding and reckless driving. Chiroma Buba Mashio called on members of the National Assembly representing Yobe state to present the matter at the National Assembly for the federal government’s intervention.
