People living in Lytchett Minster say utilities are being installed on a Green Belt field next to Slepe Mobile Home Park, even though Dorset Council has yet to decide on plans for a 14-pitch Gypsy and Traveller site. Mark Smith, who lives at Slepe Mobile Home Park, said he is “very concerned” about the impact the proposed site will have on the area. “It all took place in the last five days – fences went up, trees came down, wildlife was killed. Cllr Alex Brenton has previously called for the plans to be debated by the Planning Committee rather than decided under delegated powers. Dorset Council has been approached for comment but had not responded at the time of publication.
