The tyre specialists at Blackcircles conducted Freedom of Information requests and analysed ONS crime data to find the most vulnerable areas in the UK for tyre theft and vehicle offences. In Dorset, there were 153 recorded instances of wheels and/or tyres being stolen from vehicles between 2019 and 2024. This equates to 19.4 thefts per 100,000 people, placing Dorset ninth on the list of areas most at risk. Durham was found to be the area with the highest rate of tyre theft, with 41.4 thefts per 100,000 people. He said: "Having your tyres stolen is one of those nightmares that can ruin your day in seconds.
