Holwell-based Honeybuns Bakery, which employs 23 people, has received more than £40,000 from Dorset Council's UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) business grants. The bakery, run by husband-and-wife team Matt and Emma Goss-Custard, was able to match fund the grants they received. The council's grants have enabled Honeybuns to buy new equipment, including an automatic cake slicing machine, which will help to increase productivity. Matt said: "Our previous UKSPF grants have enabled us to buy machinery, which have already greatly benefited our business. "Thanks to these grants we were able to make capital investments that we would not otherwise have been able to."
