Uttar Pradesh- The Uttar Pradesh Director General of Medical Education and Training (UPDGME) has barred a total of 148 candidates from participating in the Uttar Pradesh National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) counselling for the academic year 2025-26. This action has been taken against candidates who did not join or resigned from the MD, MS seats allotted during the stray vacancy and special stray vacancy rounds of the previous academic session. As per the NEET PG admission guidelines issued last year, “If any candidate does not take admission after allotment from the stray vacancy round, the security deposit of such candidate will be forfeited and he/she will be barred from UP NEET PG counselling 2025-26”. The DGME has published two separate lists of the deprived candidates, containing their names, roll numbers, NEET PG ranks and allotted institutes.
