Some other games had large game worlds, like those in the Might and Magic and Ultima series, but The Legend of Zelda's world felt much more interactive. This game uses (basically) the same map as Breath of the Wild, but expands on it with floating islands and a vast underground area as large as the surface world, more than doubling the size of the overall map from the first game. Skyrim faced more than a little criticism for the drab colors used in the game world; this game has a much more vibrant world to explore.
