What ever happened here was a terrible thing. Everything that was done engineering wise was wrong. It is funny how all the big honchos celebrate and take credit for the bridge until it collapses and then they point fingers at each other. The one thing that strikes me about this article though is that the witness, who I assume is a university student, seems to have terrible grammar. It is funny why so many people say "Me and my friend", when it should be my friend and I. I have to wonder what schools are teaching these days.
