This one is not hard. Strip away all the hyperbolic language, and what you have are American citizens in dire straits. It is our responsibility to deal with this, as we have been dealing with Texas and Louisiana, and as we have at every major disaster for decades. To paraphrase language borrowed from the immigration debate, you either are a country or you aren't. Yes, the logistics of dealing with Puerto Rico are more difficult, but they have to be overcome. I don't want to get into blaming right now--I want to see action to ameliorate suffering. There's a clear right and wrong here, and it's up to all of us to see that the right thing is done.
