Nancy Alice Heath Jones October 18, 1932- August 6 2025 Born in Vineland, NJ in the darkest year of the Great Depression, Nancy slipped away on a bright sunny day surrounded by her family. Except for the 8 years Nancy lived in Oregon as a child, she spent her life in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Oklahoma, a place she dearly loved, when she was 38. Although Nancy was so tiny and petite, she was a powerhouse of energy. She loved to travel and her adventurous spirit lasted into her 80s and 90s with trips to Italy, Ireland, Nova Scotia, Seattle, Vancouver, Washington D.C.,Taos, Texas, Florida, and her favorite place, Oregon. Just a few weeks ago she traveled to New York and spent a fun filled week with her family. She had a blast. Nancy loved to learn and enjoyed her OLLI classes at the University of Oklahoma and studying the Great Lecture Series. A prolific reader, she liked to browse for used books at local thrift stores. She loved poetry and even penned her own book of poems. For many years, Nancy was active in her caregiver support group and committees at her church and was a Regent for the Catholic Daughters of America for four years. Nancy was widowed twice. In 1969, her first husband, Michael Grassi, passed away suddenly, leaving her to raise her young children, Michelle and John. Several years later, she married Eugene Jones and they spent 36 happy years together until he passed in 2010. Nancy found love one more time in her golden years with her life companion Don Pulliam. She is survived by her children: Michelle and Tim Brockmeier, John Grassi and Jinhua-"Norma" Ting, Bob and Ginny Adams. Stepchildren: Marian Vento, Sandra Jones, Bobby and Charlotte Jones. Grandchildren: Sean Yelle and Aimee Scillieri, Dr. Michael Ting Grassi, Jonathan and Alisa Adams, Thomas and Nichole Adams, Katie Adams. Great Grandchildren: Kaylee, Hunter and Emmett Adams, And the many nieces and nephews who adored their Aunt Nancy. Nancy will be joyfully reunited with her sisters, the "Heath Girls" who passed before her, Margaret, Peggy, Joan, Shirley, and Patsy, and her brother Walter. She is survived by her two sisters, Louise and Alice. The family wants to extend a special thank you to the kind and loving hands that nursed and cared for her in her final days, her nieces Brittini and Theresa, her nurses Delores, Susan and Rebekah and the wonderful staff at Loving Care Hospice, especially Logan.
