Albert Jefferson Horne III, 65, of Oklahoma, passed away on August 6, 2025. Born September 10, 1959, in Norman to Al Horne and Lilli Ann Standford, he spent his early years in Midwest City with sisters Margaret Lapsley and the late Mary Peterson before graduating from Madill High School. Jeff developed a love for the outdoors, enjoying hunting trips with his uncle, countless hours working on cars with friends, and immersing himself in the pages of The Lord of the Rings. He graduated from OU in 1982. Jeff was a devoted leader in Boy Scout Troop 241, serving as treasurer and outdoor coordinator. A lifelong fan of OU football, he also enjoyed hiking, backpacking, and skiing in the mountains of Northern New Mexico. He will be deeply missed by his sons Jefferson, James, and William Horne. A small memorial gathering will be held Friday at 2 p.m.
