Stanley(Stan) Bruton Taylor, 85, recently of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on September 9, 2025. Born on April 28, 1940, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, Stan dedicated much of his life to the field of mechanical engineering. He earned both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Oklahoma State University, coming close to completing a doctorate in mechanical engineering. Stan served honorably as a captain in the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command and was the Technical Advisor to the Wing Commander on the Titan II Missile Defense System during the Vietnam War.
He was a kind and loving father and had a zany and fun sense of humor that brought joy to those around him. In addition to his professional achievements, Stan had a passion for country and classical music, was an accomplished pianist, enjoyed playing badminton, and loved running and two-stepping. He is survived by his daughter, Lynn (Lindsay) Robertson, and his son, Jason (Memory) Taylor. Stan also leaves behind three grandchildren, Jason, Max, and Atticus Taylor, and two step-grandchildren, Heather and Riley Robertson.
