A U.S. Department of Homeland Security threat assessment report says the government is tracking threats of “unknown credibility” towards Charlie Kirk’s family, President Trump and Vice-President JD Vance at Kirk’s memorial service in Glendale on Sunday, though there are no threats that have been deemed credible. One of the most influential leaders in the modern conservative movement, Kirk and his organization were staunch allies of President Donald Trump. His Sept. 21 memorial service at State Farm Stadium in Glendale is expected to draw tens of thousands and will be broadcast across the country. The assessment also includes a number of references to “lone actors” and “plotted attacks” against state officials that have taken place in Arizona. Last year, a similar plot to use a drone to attack the Phoenix Pride festival was similarly thwarted by federal authorities.
