When handing in documents as part of a Norwegian citizenship application, some, but not all, of the paperwork will have its validity expire if too long has passed since it was issued. Norwegian citizenship comes with many requirements and a fair bit of paperwork—some of it, like the police certificate, also has an expiration date, which can cause your whole application to be rejected if not handed in while the document remains valid. The Local Norway contacted the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI), which confirmed that neither the language, citizenship, nor social studies tests have an expiration date.
