Back in April, I exposed Abarai Mido, the owner of the Sinamon cafe chain in Perth, Western Australia, as a terrorist supporter who was also dehumanizing “Zionists.” He later gloated when Iran was firing rockets at Israel, tagging me in his post. Following my posts, members of the Jewish community in Perth contacted me to say how they used to frequent Sinamon but would now boycott it and spread the word. But more than that, he is bragging about banning Zionists (which include over 90% of Jews) from his stores. In Western Australia it’s unlawful to discriminate based on political conviction when providing goods, services or facilities. If a shop draws a red line through “Zionists,” it’s drawing one through most Jews – and through Perth’s anti-discrimination laws.
