Australian journalist Mary Kostakidis is playing the waiting game, with the Federal Court yet to rule on whether she breached the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 for some of her posts on X. And by “playing the waiting game”, I mean continuing to post things that sure as hell make her look antisemitic and probably wouldn’t help her case. But she seems determined to dig herself an even bigger hole with this tweet from earlier today:The first example Mary Kostakidis brings is this:I actually agree it is not necessarily an antisemitic symbol. Mary Kostakidis had filed an interlocutory application to strike out the lawsuit, maintaining her posts were journalistic rather than hateful or racist in intent. Perhaps her mocking the idea of “Khaybar, Khaybar, Oh, Jews, the army of Muhammad will return!” brings more perspective to her intentions with her other posts and their “journalistic” value.
