Rangers place former Twins lights-out reliever Danny Coulombe on 15-day ILThe Texas Rangers placed lefty reliever Danny Coulombe on the 15-day injured list with a right shoulder strain on Thursday (retroactive to Monday), the team announced. Coulombe will be eligible to return on Sept. 16, and the Rangers reinstated righty reliever Cole Winn from the injured list as a corresponding move. Coulombe started the season with 16 1/3 scoreless innings before allowing a run. Coulombe has already been on the Twins in two separate stints (2020-2022, 2025), and he could come back to Minnesota for a third. The Twins need to rebuild their bullpen next season, and they could likely bring back Coulombe on another one-year contract.
