If they want to lean on the "real-time planning" process, if this is a lie - them being dishonest - it'd be great if there was a whistleblower on their team or at Google that knows better and leaks proof showing otherwise. However it's likely a small, close-knit team at this point, so not likely to happen. I'd also like more detail of what 'engaged with “more than 20,000 Torontonians”' means - I can create a survey and put it on Facebook or Twitter targeting people who live in Toronto, and call that engagement. Unfortunately, myself and I assume most others haven't paid proper attention to all of this. If Google/Sidewalk Labs won with their RFP and that proposal is now greatly changing, then they should lose it - and the process should start again, it feels dishonest and suspicious otherwise; of course legally or ethically I can't say how much variation to the initial proposal would be allowed or fair.
