That changes later this month, when the new Meta Ray-Ban Display AI glasses go on sale for $800. Meta’s new Ray-Ban Display glasses come with a “Meta Neural Band” that you wear on your wrist. While it’s hard to say whether any of this is enough to justify the $800 price tag – the glasses don’t replace your smartphone. They need to be paired with a compatible phone, which means that the cost of a flagship phone + Ray-Ban Display glasses could easily run $1500 to $2000. But the arrival of Meta’s Ray-Ban Display seems to indicate that Meta believes the time has arrived for a spiritual successor to Google Glass.
