While that price might seem a little steep for a phone with those specs, there are a few things that make the FLX1S unusual. First, it’s a phone that ships with a Linux-based operating system pre-installed instead of Android. That said… in most respects the FLX1 is a worse phone than the original FLX1 that launched in 2024. And while the FLX1 was rated IP68 for water resistance, the new FLX1S is not. One other thing to keep in mind is that this phone doesn’t use a mainline Linux kernel.
