Jackie Nevin Sees, 87, of Danville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025. Jack was born in Danville on Feb.17, 1938, a son of the late Joseph Ira and Wilma Florence (Foust) Sees. Jack was a 1956 graduate of Danville High School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served on the USS Bordelon for four years and was a member of the reserve for an additional two years. Jack worked for TRW for 10 years and MERCK, as an electrician, until his retirement in 1998. Jack was a member of St. James UCC, where he served on consistory as an elder. Jack was a member of the Sageburg Hunting Camp. He loved both hunting and fishing. Jack enjoyed many fishing trips to Canada, as well as hunting trips to Colorado and New York. He also enjoyed mentoring and teaching children, as both Cub Scout leader and AYSO soccer coach. By far, the roles that Jack took the greatest pride in were husband, Dad, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. Nearly 66 years ago, Jack married his beloved wife, the former Nancy Bell. Together they built a beautiful life, raising three sons, one daughter and they have 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Jason Sees; one brother, Ronald Sees and his wife, Laura (Ross); in-laws, George and Shirley Bell and Robert Witmer. Jack is survived by his wife Nancy (Bell) Sees; three sons, Kelly Sees and his wife, Yvonne (Etnoyer), Jack Sees Jr. and his wife, Donna (Mancini) and N. Randall Sees and his wife Claudette (Williams); one daughter, Karen McCracken and her husband, John; thirteen grandchildren, Scott Sees, Sharon Nickalls and her husband, Jake, Amanda Van Liessum and her husband, Marrten, Catherine Houlihan, Rebecca Jeffreys and her husband, Steve, Rachel Dobra and her husband, Evan, Madison Sees, Leo Williams, Steven Sees and his wife, Sarah, Abigail Sees, Christopher Sees and his wife, Brooke, and Caitlin Moser and her husband, Michael; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph Sees and his wife, Jane (Nogle) and Richard Sees; one sister, Deborah Walter and her husband, Cliff; sister-in-law, Beverly Witmer; in-laws, Richard and Marilyn Bell; and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. James UCC, 1381 Bloom Road, Danville, with Pastor Michael Jarrett officiating.
