Charles S. Mabus Jr., 78, of Millmont, entered into rest Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born July 4, 1947, in Laurelton, a son of the late Charles S. Sr. and Grace E. (Strickler) Mabus. On March 19, 1967, he married the former Kay V. Oldt, who survives. Charles was a 1965 graduate of Mifflinburg High School. He served in the Army during Vietnam from Oct. 20, 1966, until his honorable discharge on Oct. 18, 1968. He was employed in maintenance at the Selinsgrove Center for 18 years until he retired in 2019. Charles was a member of the Mifflinburg V.F.W. Post 1964 and the New Berlin American Legion Post 957 and served on the Mifflinburg military honor guard for many years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, smoking meats, traveling to Rolling Thunder in Washington, D.C., and playing Santa Claus for many organizations in the area. Surviving in addition to his wife of 59 years, are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Brian Mabus, of White Springs, Eric and Sally Mabus, of Millmont, and Kirt and Stephanie Mabus, of Millmont; one daughter, Lindsay Meyer, of Milton; two sisters, Connie Dorman, of Millmont, Sharon Hartman, of Lewisburg; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are welcome to a time of visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 2, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg, where the memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., with Pastor Butch Woolsey officiating.
