WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump announced Monday that his administration is strongly recommending that women limit Tylenol use during pregnancy unless medically necessary. He also made a number of dubious claims about autism, vaccines and treatments. TRUMP: “Tylenol during pregnancy can be associated with a very increased risk of autism.”THE FACTS: Studies don’t prove that. TRUMP: “There’s no downside in not taking it,” he said in urging women to not take Tylenol during pregnancy. As for autism, scientists and leading advocacy groups for people with autism agree there’s no vaccine link to the disorder.
