Nice article and a good synopsis of four essentials dealing with disruption. I especially like your comments on business continuity. All too often business continuity is seen as making sure that IT functions are available in the event of disaster. The need to be able to maintain customer tolerance levels and continue to provide goods/services is critical to business survival in a disaster. I would also say that unless the business continuity/disaster management plan is closely aligned to the organizations' strategy, goals and objectives it will be of little value.
