Earlier today, published reports cited family members of Mohamed al Zahawi, the leader of Ansar al Sharia in Benghazi, as saying that Zahawi had succumbed to injuries sustained during fighting last year. A Libyan military official said that Zahawi had been seriously wounded during fighting in September 2014. Jihadists have posted a photo, shown above, that allegedly shows Zahawi after his death.
