An officer has been injured after police opened fire during a tense car chase through multiple Sydney suburbs, with the offender still on the run. The incident began when police attempted to pull over a stolen Citroen at Blacktown about 9pm on Saturday night. The car sped away and was chased through multiple suburbs before ramming into two parked cars and three police cars on James St at Leichhardt, before allegedly driving towards officers.
