A boy riding an electric bike has died in a collision with an SUV, with his pillion passenger also injured in hospital. The 17-year-old suffered critical injuries in the crash with a Mitsubishi Outlander on the Gold Coast about 4pm on Monday. A passenger on the e-bike, also a 17-year-old boy from the same suburb, was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital with minor injuries. The driver, a 65-year-old Robina man who had been heading east on Tallebudgera Creek Rd, was taken to Robina Hospital with minor injuries.
