“A lady towards the middle of the bus yelled ‘bus driver, bus driver’, and it was just a boom, just a really big hit. “I got my phone out almost instantly and just called the ambulance straight away and counted the amount of casualties that were at the scene,” Walsh said. Despite his injuries, Walsh said he felt fortunate to survive the crash. “I know the bus driver sustained some injuries, but we’re lucky to make it out of that. They just fly down the M2 and who knows what could happen to the next group of people that get hit,” Walsh said.
