Marshals Service and local law enforcement never call to demand money or threaten arrest over the phone. Reports of this scam have surfaced in Ballinger, Winters, Miles, and across the Agri-Plex. Authorities urge residents to hang up, protect their personal information, and report suspicious calls to Ballinger Police or the Runnels County Sheriff’s Office.
