Apple’s first wearable, the Apple Watch, will feature a Power Reserve mode to help extend its battery life, according to a report that emerged over the weekend. As part of the Apple Watch’s infamously painful birthing, Apple apparently experimented with various methods of extending battery life, even including building a solar charger into the watch itself. Other bits of information to emerge from the report include the fact that Apple’s engineers, in wishing to take the Apple Watch out for a spin without spilling the beans, resorted to putting it in a case that made it look like a Samsung Gear watch.
