The shelves were designed to house a doll’s house made by the client. The reason we decorators decorate is because we enjoy houses, and the hope is to share that enjoyment with a client, alongside providing the requisite experience needed for a high quality outcome. In Daniel’s own London flat, which he shares with his partner Benedict Foley, he dealt with the problem of a blank chimney breast by creating an alcove for the bed with a wall light on either side for reading.
