Capcom is planning to port Resident Evil titles using the RE Engine to Switch 2, notable leaker Dusk Golem has alleged.
According to the reputable leaker, “All the Resident Evil RE engine games are coming to Switch 2 as one might expect.
Them coming I know for a fact… I’m guessing they’re lining up a number of the Switch 2 ports, and those PS5 versions of various RE games rated within the last year, as part of their 30-year anniversary celebration stuff.”The first title to use the RE Engine was 2017’s Resident Evil 7, which has been followed up by the likes of Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 , Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 remakes, alongside Resident Evil Village and the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem.
Other leakers have suggested Capcom will detail news of the Resident Evil 7 port later this month; we’ll keep and eye out and report as this story develops.
Players can expect Resident Evil Requiem, the next in the long-running franchise, from 27 February 2026.
