BY DAVID SCIBILIA, MANAGING EDITOREarlier this week, a St. Bonaventure University international student had their academic visa revoked by the federal government, according to today’s university announcement. The university was not formally notified of the revocation nor given a reason as to why the visa was revoked. “Many offices at the university, including the President’s Office, Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, International Student Services, Athletics, University Ministries and Finance and Administration are coordinating efforts to assist any student who might be impacted and provide any resource available to guide them,” wrote Jeff Gingerich, university president, in the emailed notice. Bonaventure embraces students, faculty and staff of all faiths and cultures and strives to bring out the best in every individual through meaningful relationships,” wrote Gingerich. “We will stay true to our Catholic and Franciscan values.
