As part of Chester County’s commitment to tackle the opioid epidemic, the County’s Department of Drug & Alcohol Services is taking part in International Overdose Awareness Day (August 31st, 2025). On the evening of Wednesday, August 27, Chester County’s key event, Night of Light, will take place at 6:30pm on the steps of the County’s Historic Courthouse in West Chester. “One life lost to overdose is one too many, and we strive for zero overdose fatalities in Chester County,” added Johnson. The event helps to support those in need, foster understanding and compassion, and promote awareness of the resources available for Chester County residents.
