Jackie Lee Hicks, age 89, of Ramsey, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at SBL Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care, in Vandalia. He was born January 26, 1936 in Ramsey, the son of Milta William “Shug” and Ruby Catherine (Spires) Hicks. Jackie is survived by his wife, Joan Hicks of Ramsey; his daughter, Jackie Mealka of Chandler, AZ; his grandchildren, Matthew and Mackenzie; one great grandchild; his brother, Gene Hicks (Lola) of Vandalia, IL; and his sister, Judy Harris (Rex) of O’Fallon, IL. A funeral service will be held Monday, September 22, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey, officiated by Pastor Terry Sapp. Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey, is in charge of arrangements.
