The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department on Sunday was investigating a fatal shooting in uptown Charlotte, the second in three days. CMPD did not immediately release the victim’s name or information about a suspect. The shooting happened at about 12:42 a.m. in the 200 block of N. Caldwell Street. WCNC, quoting a police source, said the incident started as a confrontation between two groups at the Brooklyn Nightclub and Lounge. Meanwhile, CMPD released the name of a man killed on Thursday and announced an arrest in the case.
