FLORIDA – Marlon Brown was on the run from a seatbelt violation, sprinting through a vegetable garden when DeLand police decided to end the foot chase by running him down with their cruiser. Officer James Harris decided to run over Brown, killing him instantly. A $500,000 settlement was reached and the family is pushing for an independent investigation.
