Mary Edith Schwartzbauer of Meadville passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025. She was born in Geneva, PA, on May 30, 1939, a daughter of Ernie and Eileen Hafer Miller. Mary Edith was a 1958 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School and then furthered her education at Edinboro University and Cleveland Clinic. She married Paul Schwartzbauer on September 9, 1966; he survives. Mary Edith was employed as a laboratory technologist at the former Spencer Hospital in Meadville and then was employed for 38 years at Millcreek Hospital as head of the laboratory. She was a member of Geneva Faith Church. Mary Edith enjoyed flowers and gardening and loved her many dogs. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Peggy Werhle of Saegertown, and several nieces and nephews. Mary Edith was predeceased in death by her parents, and her brother John Werhle. Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, September 3, 202,5 from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm at Dickson Family Funeral Home, Inc., 123 South Franklin Street, Cochranton, PA. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 1:00PM at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Miller officiating. Interment will be in Geneva Cemetery.
