On October 6th, 2025, California Governor Gavin Newsom used the meme on his official X / Twitter account (@CAgovernor) in a quote-tweet in reply to U.S. Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller posting about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities during President Donald Trump's administration. That same day, Twitter user @bigrackspart7 quote-tweeted the original reply from Newsom, claiming the meme was a screenshot from their old group chat and noting that it was just used by "the next president of the U.S." The tweet received over 140,000 views and 2,400 likes in 21 hours.
