The Catholic Church’s Year of Mercy came to an end in the Diocese of East Anglia when Bishop Alan Hopes closed the Holy Door of Mercy at St John the Baptist Cathedral in Norwich as Pope Francis closed the Holy Door at St Peter’s Basilica in Rome.
