A 14-year-old girl who was gang raped received 2,645 pounds of wheat after the case was settled in a tribal agreement. The girl’s brother first reported the case to police March 21 and the main suspect was detained, the Times of India reports. The victim’s father was forced to take the case to a jirga trial where tribal elders meet to settle disputes.
