Nice article. Thanks. I especially appreciated Ravi Prabhu's advice that criteria and indicators need to be scientifically valid, but don't need to be perfect. Or, put differently, too much rigor can lead to rigor mortis! I also liked Ravi's advice that tools should be usable and relevant to the needs of local people.
