Your Shot academy and competition for aspiring DJs to launch in U.S. this fallYour Shot — a no-experience-necessary DJ competition and music academy — is coming stateside for the first time ever this September. Designed to democratize DJ culture, Your Shot empowers beginners to step outside their comfort zones and access a creative world often limited by financial or social barriers. Over six weeks in both New York and Los Angeles, participants receive hands-on training from industry professionals, learning the fundamentals of mixing, music selection, and live performance skills. The academy ends with a live showcase event where contestants perform in front of fans, industry professionals, and talent scouts. Your Shot winners earn a coveted slot at a global music festival, with past contestants having performed at Ultra, CRSSD, Hideout, Snow Machine, and more.
