There’s no question: If immigration is reduced, the problem of developing new talent will only become larger. Südhof: Not yet, aside from the Chinese who are returning to China because they feel discriminated against and disadvantaged in the U.S. Otherwise, there are so many researchers in America that there aren’t enough positions available in Europe to absorb them.
