Bhubaneswar: In a bid to strengthen the health care services in Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday inaugurated 73 Ama Hospitals in 15 districts and 5 dialysis centres at sub-division hospitals. Dedicating the Ama Hospitals and Dialysis centres, Naveen hoped that these hospitals would herald a new age in the health care services in the state to provide improvised medical treatment facilities to the people of the state. Under the 'Ama Hospital' scheme, launched last year, existing hospitals are refurbished and sufficient manpower is ensured. Inaugurating the facilities, Patnaik said the hospitals have been transformed keeping the convenience of the patients in mind. He also inaugurated five dialysis centres in sub-divisional hospitals.
