UPDATE: Trail Ridge Road remains closed as early snow blankets Rocky Mountain National Park

– Trail Ridge Road is temporarily closed to through travel, as it is currently snowing in the high elevation areas of Rocky Mountain National Park.

National Park Service/Courtesy photoSept. 22 – Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park will be temporarily closing at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 22 due to the forecast for snow and freezing temperatures overnight, according to Kyle Patterson, the park’s public affairs officer.
Additionally, Old Fall River Road will be closing at 5 p.m. Rangers will assess road conditions in the morning to determine when these points will reopen.
