The camp in Agadez was established in 2018 and is jointly managed by the UN’s refugee agency (UNHCR) and Nigerien authorities. UNHCR refers to the facility as the Agadez Humanitarian Centre. The Agadez Humanitarian Centre is currently home to around 1,900 people, according to UNHCR, with most arriving from Sudan.
