These are indeed good news, especially since the director of the show initially hinted that Obi-Wan’s story was intentionally closed in the first season: There’s nearly a decade of Obi-Wan’s exile on Tatooine between the end of Season 1 and ‘A New Hope’ that could be explored. While another confrontation with Anakin would contradict the original trilogy, Season 2 could focus on Obi-Wan’s life on Tatooine, dealing with local threats or secretly protecting young Luke Skywalker from the shadows.
